In a unexpected crossover event that defies traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the official release, "An unusual encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of prohibited practices and fearsome changes echo through the darkness." The plot features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret cult.
The mission centers on "peculiar trials and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Extra Features
Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana in addition to several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
