Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
